He has no ties to the Republic, only this daft rules allows him to play for them.

There was a little bit about him in one of the programmes last season when they interviewed the kids coming through. Even then he said he eligible to play for both Republic and Northern Ireland.

We're not stubborn. How would you feel if a fantastic talent defected to another country? I've been raving about him to everyone, and now he will never play for us. Im gutted.

I agree the Neil Lennon situation was disgusting. However that was a minority. That does not reflect the views of us all. Those responsible were given lifetime bans from watching N.Ireland home and away.
I remember going to Dublin with my football team and being shot at, and petrol bombed. Do i think that reflects the views off all of Dublin and the Republic in general? NO, I'm not stupid enough to think that way.

The minority is more than enough to scare someone away. Especially a Catholic from Derry.

I believe hes from a mixed family, as am I. So i look at it from both sides.
