Heading to Dublin tomorrow for the weekend

Doing the guinness tour and obviously temple bar

Anyone been or got any recommendations?

Cheers

Avoid Temple Bar, simple as that. It's insanely expensive ( 7 euros a drink the norm ) and faux Irish. No one from Dublin goes near the place. It's the Dublin version of the Bigg Market in Newcastle, with bad ass doormen too.

If you're a pub man, do some research on " the Poets pubs " - Keats, Joyce etc. You can do a cracking pub crawl based on the pubs that the famous Irish Poets used to drink in.

If it's still open there's a club called - Copper Faced Jacks. It's actually a very nice bar of a hotel , with a club underneath ( can't remember the name of the hotel, but Google the club ) it's near to St Stephens Green. You need to be in by 11pm or you'll have difficulty getting in as it gets rammed - free to get in and there's lots of lovely friendly local girls in there. Tourists generally don't go there and they seemed to like English Lads for some reason !. Great place.

Above all avoid Temple Bar, you have been warned !.

My mate from Dublin, said it was full of " Country Girls and Nurses " that's why it was so easy to pull in there !.
