Radiator and hairdryer. Dont leave them in the porch for a fortnight unless you enjoy pulling them out in the changing room to discover that woodlice have built some sort of rudimentary village inside. I was jeered and pointed at with the force of ten phil nevilles.

Last time I put my boots under the radiator after a match they'd half rotted by the Wednesday, something to do with Runcorn mud I think.

I just placed them on the top for a bit. Usually I just knocked the mud off outside then slung them in the porch. Unfortunately a cancelled match gave the woodlice an extra seven days. It was just the chance they'd been waiting for.

Alway,s had two pair when i was a chisler,,, Adidas / Lotto,,, always me Mar (RIP) made me clean them after banging the muck off

them in the back yard .. After that she would take over, she polished those boots with gusto, used Vaseline to preserve the leather................
