Look at electric ones for space saving and pretty much no noise, pretty expensive though...

Wish I bought one when I played like.

Buying my kids one each. Think of the heartbroken face of a child that wakes up on Christmas morning with no drum kit.

It'll improve her hand / eye co-ordination better than anything else and help her with timing issues too.
Any parent who worries about d'noize is a bad, bad parent.

Some honest and intelligent feedback so far... Thanks guys xxxx I would hate to let my offspring down .

There's loads of stuff on t'internet showng the benefits of drumming for youngsters

Eg http://www.articlesbase.com/music-articles/the-big-list-of-the-benefits-of-drumming-1027269.html

In all seriousness, our lad came on leaps and bounds at school after we got him a drum kit ( he was 11 at the time ). It improved all sorts of things which you'd never expect but mainly it was concentration and focus. For sure, the noise drove us mad at times, but you can't do too much for your sprogs.
