Drinking habits

never been a huge fan of drinking at home. Love going out and having a drink. Will drink at home at Christmas and occasionally while watching Everton. My husband's shifts usually mean I have to go out and pick him up so there's that to think about too. He doesn't drive. During first lockdown when he was furloughed and I started working from home i was doing a bottle of wine a night. Gained a stone, didn't really like that so knocked it on the head. Having said that drank more last night than I have done since Christmas!

Very rarely drink at home as alcohol isn't something I often think to buy when doing the shopping. No real reasoning to it, just not a habit I ever developed. Quite happily have a couple of cans a night when it's in the house though - around Xmas or back in the days when you had guests or parties and that type of thing and there's a some left over.

Getting nicely drunk in the house seems like a waste - I like being out and about or at least in a party setting.

More of a social drinker. Sunday afternoon/evening in the boozer watching football and chatting wham, rare Saturday night or a bit of a day/evening sesh if I'm going to a gig or something and don't have work the day after. As such I've barely drank at all since Covid.

I still enjoy the odd glass of red or a Peroni at home these days, Been in to single malts for years so I savour the odd dram.

Try to stick to the less than 14 units per week guidance if I’m having a drink, but can go weeks and months without touching a drop, but then could maybe have a couple every night for a fortnight. My days of drinking solely to get drunk are years and years behind me, and I struggle to understand quite why I used to set off on that mission so regularly tbh.

couple of mid strengths after footy training on Thursday (got to drive home) then 1 or 2 full strength when I get home. Usually 6 pack on Friday and Saturday, then 1 or 2 on Sunday. Nothing Mon, Tue or Wed

100% social drinker, never enters my head to drink at home unless somebody comes over or we have a party or something which was rare before COVID and almost never now. (Not parties like. One of my mates coming over)

I do miss having the option to go out once every couple months until 6 in the morning, usually drinking too much. I don’t even know if any of my regulars in Barcelona will still be open after.

I used to think I didn’t like beer and just drank for the fun of the night out, but I do enjoy trying new craft beers now. Some delicious stuff. Not enough interest tho to start trying them on a regular basis at home tho

I fill the gap with lots of Barry’s Tea
