One of my things to do this year is to learn how to draw. I kind of fell into web design, and have self-taught myself from a technical level - using software and code.

However, I have always wanted to draw, kind of get back to basics and learn the foundation of art and design. I believe it will help me be a better designer and perhaps get my business back on track and I can go back to freelancing again.

Started today with some nice new expensive pencils and a decent sketchbook. Going to get some text book to help me on my way.

Anyone here a freehand artist? Any tips?

Writing? When I get chance to. Going to try and combine the two.

I always thought that a good book written as if it was written by the person narrating it in a note book style form - be something different.

Probably about 10 years in the making no doubt - but you need to have goals in life.
