Made some interesting comments in the above interview regarding the current control and direction of the club.

"Michael, don’t you think that these set-backs, or blessings in disguise, were predictable? Such events happens every day in real business. It's been my experience that highly paid executives must continually convince their pay-masters that they are doing a good job.
"Getting a top job is one thing, keeping it is another. Certainly, three years is considered a good run at the top in the US oil industry. Eventually, everyone gets to 'pursue other challenges'. I know that I did.
"Similarly, it is a tad myopic to believe that the government ‘call-in’ has to do with the fans. We are not victims. Surely it had more to do with the real impacts of the billion-pound retail scheme. Hey, if you think this regulatory process is frustrating, then try to build an oil refinery!
"I’m afraid that there may be even more challenges facing the Everton family in the not-too-distant future. So it’s best to keep a level head, an optimistic outlook and, of course, to brace ourselves."

The money he got for the collection he built up when the club didn't want to pursue keeping their own history? What does that have to do with anything? He has perhaps a better knowledge of what's going on than most.

What, the money he got, which was less than a quarter of what he would have received by splitting and auctioning the collection?

I hope he's enjoying it

Don't see how someone living 5000 miles away would have any great insight to the current clubs affairs

not sure that geography has anything to do with it. I could camp on the doorstep and no bugger would tell me [Poor language removed] all.

IF, however, I moved in the right circles, and had the right contacts, and had dealings with the club (all of which apply to the good doctor) then maybe I might be privy to more information, obviously not as much as yourself HB, clearly you're the man that tells Bill what's going on , but more than the average punter

Bearing in mind Bill "could talk Everton all day long", is it really that much of a stretch that he would occasionally converse with the man who arguable knows more than any living Evertonian about the history of the Club ?(barring yourself, of course... and no, you haven't said it, but the tone of your posts certainly imply )

Bearing in mind Bill "could talk Everton all day long", is it really that much of a stretch that he would occasionally converse with the man who arguable knows more than any living Evertonian about the history of the Club ?(barring yourself, of course... and no, you haven't said it, but the tone of your posts certainly imply )

He may well phone him up on occasion and say dave how is it hanging but i very much doubt he divulges company information to him
