Stayed with me mar for a couple of nights and noticed that a few nights in a row there's been someone knocking on her door from a charity trying to get donations to whatever new initiative they have in place, in today's instance it was the NSPCC trying to promote their new lottery. A quid a week out of your bank.

DISCLAIMER: charidee is a great thing and of course I welcome a better life for those in need.

It's a piss take like, they dont let you get a word in edgeways and trying to emotionally blackmail you into giving money, listened in on a well put together speech with sales techniques in there.

Is there some ancient by law which allows you to taser them?

...not a fan of cold calling, either knocking on doors or via telephone. Suggest it should be against the law as it is open to significant abuse, especially were old folk are concerned.

when I'd just moved into my new place a pikey lookign sort knocked my door offering some home security deal. all I had to do was let him look at what I had in place so he could recommend the right products. What a **** like I'm going to let him in so he can work out how to burge my place. I told him to get off my proerty, he didn't. When I moved towards him he put his hands up so I introduced him to the gravel then dragged him off my drive.

Oddly no further cold calls since then
