Dogs allowed in Pubs?

Yep. Not unusual to see a bloke on a horse ordering a pint from the outside serving hatch.

Dogs are almost compulsory. In fact, when our black lad was an unnamed puppy, we took him down there, and he wolfed down a saucer of Guinness. Guess what we called him!

Wouldn't matter what you called him; he'd be too drunk to respond.

Wounded here.. The dog I went to look at has now been reserved....

I will have to keep looking on the site.

My dog is too young for the pub. He's an over-excitable, overfriendly pup still. There'd be drinks flying everywhere and he'd get me turfed out within minutes.

Maybe when he's a bit older. He's a good lad at home, he just wants to say hello to everyone and find out what everything is, usually by jumping on them, whenever we go out. He's learning though.

But he’s got to get used to it. Take him in just after opening or if there is a quiet period. If it says it’s a dog friendly pub then the staff will understand...

Haha true enough. He'd probably not be quite so doolally in the evening after a decent walk.

I was in a pub earlier and I must say there was a really charming little black Springer Spaniel in - the Andre Gomes of spaniels in fact. Made my day.
