Does Moyes need a good second in command

Great managers in the past have always had a second in commend, does Moyes need help. Has Moyes reached the end of his time at Everton. Is the a staleness with his training methods. Rooney once said he was tired on the Saturday after the hard training Moyes had did with the players midweek. Does Moyes possess the man manager skills of a Harry Rednapp to get the best out of them

If Moyes did leave Evertion, would he have the right CV to manage the super stars of football at other clubs

All i know is is that i prefered watching Everton when Moyes had Irvine as his No.2 compared to now with Round, to me i dont think our football or our team ethic or ethos are any better.

And when Irvine was is assistant we seemed to work harder and close teams down, now when were not in possesion, we get every man behind the ball and have two banks of a 4 and a 5 or 6 and camp in our own half and sit there and invite pressure from the opposition and stand off 5 or so yards instead of closing down!.

Before Round came we played some nice, intricate attacking stuff and was hard to beat, didnt conceed many and worked hard and never let the opposition, no matter who it was, settle into there own game plan. Now we play slow, sideways and backwards football, conceed plenty of goals and stand off the opposition and basically let them do what they like with the ball and generally dont work as hard off the ball as we used to IMO.

And when it was a Moyes, Irvine double act, thats what we was all about, being hard to beat, taking leads in games and seeing it through and gradually getting better as a footballing side over the years as the quality in the team improved.

Back then whenever we took a lead, you was confident that we'd shut out the opposition and go on and win or if they did peg us back we battled on to the dieing minutes and won by scoring late on and that happened alot but now, there's hardly any of the above i mentioned happening with us right now.

Maybe it is something to do with Rounds coaching methods or summat that are at fault for how bad we are atm and have been on off ever since he's been at the club, i dont know but we have got the quality in our squad to be a match for anyone in the premier league on are day but yet we are where we are and struggling.

Tbh, i prefered Moyesies Everton when Irvine was his No.2 compared to his Everton with Round at his side, i mean Moyes and Irvine was always on the touchline geeing the team on, but now you just see Moyes there with Round sat on his arse there with no input at all.

Anyway, thats how i see it, i dont know about anyone else.

I do believe he needs someone with maturity who has been in the game for a long period of time , to bring in different ideas of how to play and advise him to use different formations , I do believe Round has a place at the club , probably not as assistant manager.

We have achieved good things under Moyes & Round , finishing 5th in his first season & getting to the FA Cup Final as assistant and 8th the following season.

I don't think Round is to blame , anyone looking at round to blame has Moyes tinted glasses on.

Ive got no Moyes "tinted glasses" on as im not one of Moyesies biggest fans and im not solely blaming Round cos of our current prediciment, im just saying that i prefered that Everton (if that makes sense) and prefered to watch us when Irvine was assistant.

If Evertonians are being honest with themselves there isn't much difference in the style of play from the days of Irvine as assistant to current times with round , just different playing staff.

Don't know if Irvine would make much of a difference at present to Round. When Irvine was here we had arguably one of the best central partnerships in the country in Jags and Lescott, that is why we were able to hold onto leads. The amount of sloppy goals we have conceded this year, is more then the whole time Jags and Lescott were paired together. Football wise I think we might have scored slightly more goals under Irvine-Moyes partnership, but I can't honestly say the football was any better. We still had people then moaning then about Moyes negative tactics, just like they do now.
