I have seen many games of the Celtics, the supporters sang
"If you know the history" as well as we us. So does the song use by Celtic Fan similarly to us?

Please do not mind me if I ask a silly question like this, cause I 've never known before:D

yeh they do, dont know the words exactly but they do sing it, they were singing it a the friendly 3 years ago at parkhead

they also sing some crap about storms at night and having soap up their arse too, dont know what thats all about, (n)(n)(n)(n)(n)(n)(n)(n)(n)
most of their other songs are sectarian bile:@ its endemic up there

bertie auld started singing it in the tunnel in lisbon in 1967 and they all joined in to put the fear of [Poor language removed] up inter milan. dont know about before that though.

Best I can dig up with regards to the origin of Grand Old Team is

It all starts in 1853 with the Opera Il Trovatore (The Troubadour), written by Verdi. In act II, scene 1, the gypsies sing the famous Anvil Chorus Hail Hail song.

same tunehttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anvil_Chorus
