Does anyone else find Freight Trains fascinating?

Living next to the railway line as I do, I am a regular spotter of trains, and I have to say that the most interesting ones are usually freight trains.

Loaded like a freight train....
When I was first working in North West WA, I found it fascinating getting caught at a level crossing and watch a train with 240 carriages slowly rolling by.
After a few times the only good thing was it gave you time to get out the car and have a smoke and pee while waiting for it to pass

Nothing I like better when taking my break, than to glance up onto the railway track and watch the 16 or so carriages of biomass pellets, being hawked to Drax Power station from Hull docks.
Resplendent in their sky blue and silver livery, taking a minute or so to pass. Quite hypnotic and stress relieving.
Do like a good freight train, I admit it.

There is also a biomass train from Liverpool to Drax, which someone told me takes a ridiculous time to get there, like 15 hours, because freight must defer to passenger services in the UK.

When I see the train, I feel the pain of all those miners that are no longer, due to the closure of all the pits in the region.
It must be particularly galling to see the biomass that is being carried now, along with the coal transported from Immingham, passing over the millions of tons of high grade coal that still lies deep underground.
I suppose we should be grateful that we live in a greener world though.
