Does 8k buy a penalty

Ralphie Boy

Player Valuation: £8m
I don't want to sound bitter but is it just a coincidence that after paying his dues for slating a ref the red****e get a very dubious penalty that should have already been stopped by a handball by Sterling?

Don't want to sound bitter (even though I suspect I may be) but it seems a cheap price to pay and changed the game in my opinion.

He had stated that their was minimal contact and would have to watched the handball again.

Comments?

I've yet to watch a game were Anthony Taylor hasn't ruined a game. He's literally the worst official in any sport at any level in my experience. That isn't an understatement either.

Oh great, I was watching the right game. I thought it was an amateur game posing as an EPL game.

pretty much this. he was the one where he had the whole of upton park shouting "you don't know what you're doing" after giving two diobolical red cards.

i'm not sure what mike riley is doing, because there is no reason why these prem refs shouldn't be getting demoted every week. he's one of a long line of terrible refs. why they have to pick them at the start of the season and go with them pretty much whole season, i don't know.

he's just utterly terrible, liverpool mainly won today because stoke defended like school children. but yep, the ref did help them out with his incompetance when they were rattled

You on about the Gibson & Cole red cards?

I remember them singing that after Gibson got sent off. That's how bad the decision was, fans telling the ref he doesn't know what he's doing after he sends an opposition player off.

yes, think he only got demoted for a week then was back.

said it before, they should choose their 10 for the first week of the season and then whenever they cock up - replaced by someone from the championship and come back in when they've proved themselves worthy etc.

rather than the elite of 12/13 or whatever it is atm that keep coming back regardless of how bad they are.

Skrtel did his usual bear-hugging in the area again, on Shawcross (irony of ironies). The ref did nothing, but it was like rolling back the years to Carragher at his "best". And he's been doing it all season. Even the normally biased commentators are picking up on it saying it should've been a pen etc.

Still, with his "Spanish penalty" comment, it's nice to see Rodgers is starting to annoy people. The whole club is a barnacle on the backside of humanity.

Cringing here. The referee was just ****e. Same as the City game, should've been red cards all over the show there too, and a bizarre disallowed goal.

The referee was just ****e.
This.

Honestly I'd be shipping in referees from abroad with no links to any of the clubs in the Premiership.

The ones we have are so corrupt and/or painfully poor it's a disgrace. The money they're earning, too. Half of them aren't even fit enough to be refereeing and so make snap decisions or just plain guess as to what might be right.

It'll never change, though, so long as the 'elite' remain where they are.
