Your post seemed to be saying that you were worse off in the 10th decile than than 1st. Sorry if I misconstrued it. The fact you put the
word unfortunate in quotation marks also gave that impression. I've been on the dole too, and even the crappiest job has left me better off. Maybe different if you've got a family I guess.

Im -£5457 in the 8th decile.

But my wifes a teacher and shes on maternity pay AND she gets child benefit and i work for a company thats sub-contracted by the home office so technically we get all our money from the tax payer!!
