Posting this in here as it's not meant to be fully serious. But many a true thing and jest etc.
Back in the 2017/2018 season we took on our Lord and Saviour Sir Samuel of Allardyce. Not a universally popular appointment, many had grave (gravy?) concerns about the style of football and his tendency to use 'spin' to paint himself in a favourable light.
Fears that came to pass. Some uninspiring football and, in some eyes, inflated talk of our dire position. Cue a rarely united forum indulging in gravy and weight related gags and agitating for a series footballing future.
The counterpoint, of course, was a pragmatic and organised team who finished respectably.
So, in light of the following seasons (and our current situation) were we too hard on large Samuel?
