In light of recent events, do you think it's important to care about/have a love or affiliation with the city of Liverpool to be an Evertonian?

Important's a bit strong, but, unless you're marooned abroad somewhere and never get to go to Goodison it's hard to see how you couldn't feel something for the city and it's people, as well as for the club.

Same goes for Liverpool as a city.

Well I guarantee that after about 20 minutes in the city, be it because of a taxi driver, friendly copper, or random stranger, you will get it.

And thats before you set foot in Goodison.

I assumed you were from speke or norris green or similar!

No but think it would be difficult to be a hard core supporter of the team if you had a genuine antipathy to the city as it is so intertwined with the club and its values.
