Do you ever think it will get to the point...

Player Valuation: £40m
...when the wages of footballer's are at such a level we will see them owning football clubs? Now I know its been done, Franny Lee at City for example and Beckham for one could possibly be in the position to, but im talking on a regular basis.

Im sure there will be a point, not sure how many players would, most of them are idiots like, and wouldnt have a clue what to do.

It would most likely be the footballers buying the club that they support - for example if Neville got payed more money, i reckon he would probably want to buy Bury or something..

But the wages are just scary, because if you look at the Eto'o deal, he will be earning something like 300k a week, and thats not even including bonuses, sponsorships, interviews etc...

Someone told me Eto'o will be getting 55,000 euros per DAY. That is obscene. I have to work 5 years to top that ffs. Hard to see how it will end anyway but badly. There'll have to be intervention like salary caps. Don't know who'll take responsibility. FIFA? UEFA? Danny and Dylan?

Ray Ranson has.

feck off Mcmahon was heading some consortium that looked at us apparently.

Beckham and a couple of others would be a marketing dream for a club like us, and would attract all kind of investment & deals, he'd have a sponsor for when he's in the directors box FFS.

Invite them over, say youve got a special room for them. When they go in there's a bed and candles and loads of pink **** that girls like!

Apparently there was a time when it cost the same to go the match as going to the pictures. Mind you i payed about £18 at the IMAX recently ffs!

Remarkably I remember those days, I posted an article the other week regarding how much it should cost, basing on the price in the 80's and adding all the inflation. Uniteds had increased by about 700% since then, whereas it should have only gone up by about 90% (I think) and now cost about £9.

In the early seventies I used to get 50p pocket money, the cost of getting in was 45p. To my recollection, there was no concession for juniors. How many people give their kids £30 pocket money these days?

Ive never been the IMAX, thats a shocking price. Barring an Olsen twins lesbian fistfest being put into production I wouldn't pay that to watch a film.

ive still got magazines from the 60' & 70's cost 20 p

even that just shows how much prices in football has gone up

rekon there worth anything now? i know its not even that long but ive got derby ones
bags of things thinking of keeping them till am older and having me ouse' full of everton top to bottom
