Do football pundits have the easiest job on earth?

Kinda crazy how players like Owen and Shearer are such crappy pundits. How were you so good at this sport if you can't even freaking analyze it correctly?

I think alot of footballers rely on instinct at times, especially strikers, when you do something over and over it becomes normal. You cannot describe how you did it, you just did it. Nike believe this also. JUST DO IT.

Owen apparently didn't watch football when he was a player. I saw something on Football Focus once where Danny Murphy said that he and carragher would watch every game and always talk about it the next day in training, and owen wouldn't even have known there was a game on.

Given how neither owen or shearer seemed to know many players when they first started being pundits, I'm going to guess shearer was the same.
