Do football pundits have the easiest job on earth?

Just wondering. I mean they just sit on the sofa, and points out people's mistake. Only Gary Neville and Jamie Carragher seems to do some hard work, others barely go into detailed analysis. Especially people like Craig Burley, they just talk whatever they want. Is there any easier way to get rich? What do you reckon?

I think Gary Neville and Jamie Carragher are a bit overrated on MNF. They have all that time to analyse one match, they also have the benefit of going over the weekends action over 24hrs later where they've had the chance to read around the incidents. Compare that to the guys on MOTD who have to fire through all the matches not long after they have happened.

I try to avoid the pundits, will turn the footaball on 2 mins before kick off and make a cuppa or busy myself at half time, rarely do I hang around for the post match interviews. Also I tape MOTD and fast forward through the punditry.

The only issue is the in game pundit, can't avoid the likes of alan smith, andy townsend and now mich ael owen droning on in cliches

Any profession where repetitive idiocy and shallow ability in your field leads to more money and long term job security is most definitely an easy one. For morons, of course.

Considering half the members on these forums do it for free day in day out i reckon it probably is, not hard to talk about footy if your passionate really. Ironically those paid to do it are quite crap really bar a few, Micheal Owen is actually a bad person for subjecting the public to such mind numbing rubbish, "when i was playing..." just do one Michael and Bt aswell for paying him.

We all know what that's code for

However, I agree about the in game pundit. They just say what we have all just seen but because they played the game at a high level it is meant to sound better?!

Nev is so over-rated, unless you are a United fan, ofcourse.

I know lots of Liverpool, Arsenal and Chelsea fans that think Neville is the best pundit in the country at the moment. But to be honest, he doesn't have a lot of competition.

Personally, I loved him as a player but he grates me as a pundit. His obsession with "The United Way" (which doesn't exist btw) when Dour Moyes was boss annoyed the hell out of me.

Plus him and his other Sky Sports pals would NEVER criticise Moyes yet would give any foreign coach like Mourinho loads of stick if their team wasn't performing.

Jimmy Hill was bad enough years ago, but this current crop of know nothing bell wipes really is something else.

Townsend,Jamie Literally Redknapp,Mark Merment Lawrenson,Impartial Tyler, the fat kopite mess Alan Green, and That whining squeaky voiced bellend Carragher are the worst.

Even the ones on the streams are bad, Trevor Francis and Gary Birtles hate Everton with a passion.

I don't mind Souness tbh, and Neville isn't too bad although his accents horrible and he looks a bit simple.

I sell myself using an escort service online. I have a few bob stashed away but whenever I get low I just activate my account again and go at it. Not only do I find it easy I enjoy it most of the time. But I'd probably try some punditry but I don't have the big name for it.

They rarely offer more insight than most posters on GOT would.

Getting paid thousands to post on GOT all day?

[Poor language removed] yeah, best job ever, although the lateness of the match previews can sometimes be extremely stressful.
