Do Europe get too many teams?

Noooooooooooooooooo.

European teams always do badly when it's played in America. American teams always do badly when it's played in Europe.

Everyone knows that.

Without Europeans these so-called countries would still be living in teepees and worshiping the moon, the least we deserve is a few WC places.

There's literally only 4 countries in the entire world (out of more than 200) that have never at some point been ruled by europeans like. It's hilarious how bad they are at not getting massacred and enslaved by us europeans.

Honestly if I became Prime Minister, my first order would be to invade those 4 countries just for completeness sake.

Take one UEFA slot and give it to Oceania and maybe take one more and give it to North America
Because Honduras have done so well that CONCACACAF need another slot.

Think 4 is plenty for North America. A decent top 3, nothing else. I do think UEFA may have too many teams though. No idea who you give it to. South America is the logical choice, but as noted, don't have enough countries.

Think I agree with the combining the new world into one federation, taking N/A half spot - give that to New Zealand, then take a spot from Europe and give it to the New World.

Where do FIFA get there money from? Advertising, sponsors and TV. Do you think big money is going to be paid to watch Burma, Barbados, Jamaica, Indonesia, Fiji Islands? Just a few names plenty more small time nations out there.

No, but too many UEFA teams have been crap so far. If there's any solution to the problem, it's fixing qualification, allowing nations to build better teams with less risk of knockout. Still, much of the problem may be cultural; England could do well with a guy like Klinsmann running their show, if he wouldn't be dismissed after 3 friendlies (and they're not the only team with that problem.)

In some measure, Goat is probably right (although, comparing correctness with Goatness, measure for measure, he's still massively wrong); these UEFA teams often play poorly in these conditions. But why is that? Were they not aware the World Cup was being held in Brazil, and did they not train for the circumstances?

I had a response to this. And I wrote it out. Then I decided it was stupid and I am a bad person for writing it.

Long story short - I agree that the UEFA nations take less risks and it harms them come tournament time.

Aye. There's no depth in CONCACAF. Panama would have probably been awful too. This is the first time EVER that three North American sides have made the knockout.

Combine the Americas. Combine Oceania and Asia.
