I programme synths but can't play them! Record my own music (guitar, bass and vocals) on cubase with a bunch of VST instruments and a drum programme.

Not really the same though!

I've always wanted to get myself one of the Korg Mini-Synths and just mess with one of them. I also want to get myself an Akai MPD32 and make some decent music from samples etc.

I just write some tunes on guitar for now though, one day I'll have the money for that gear above though.

I've got a mini Korg, its a beast for the money. had it about 3 years and havent got bored of it at all. I've got that and a Yamaha PSR-900 which is a fairly decent keyboard.

I got into synth pop music about 20 years after it happened, early depeche mode, Yazoo, Kraftwork, PSB.
