To mark it's 100th anniversary, the Professional Footballers’ Association has published a list detailing every single league club’s best player ever - as voted for by supporters.

Dixie Dean was voted the best Everton player, and you can see a list of other clubs below.

and the list is tainted somewhat because maradona i begrudgingly admit was the second best player of all time. ronaldo and romario - yeah right.

How can Ronaldo, who went completely off form only midway through his career be the 2nd best player of all time? And Romario no3 while Maradona, some peoples best ever way down at no6?

I think most people tend to agree the 3 all time best were Pele, Best and Maradona, so how that list only mentions one of them in the top 3 is strange. But its all subjective anyway.

I think most non-evertonians tend to believe that Dixie played too long ago to be compared, which is crazy if you ask me, because a player can only be compared to his peers, not players from different eras.

My thoughts exactly. PAUL McGRATH:blink: Surely Andy Gray, Brian Little and Peter Withe are all better than him or even Gary Shaw or David Platt.

Surprised not to see George Best in the list.

Would be interested to see who Evertonians would have voted for if it was Post-War players. Take Dixie out of the equation and its a much more difficult and debateable subject. Kendall? Ball? Harvey? Young? Labone? Wilson?Southall? Latchford? Steven???????
