Mate its been a strange start to the season- apprehension, a slow start and the Lescott thing hanging over everyone. That is why maybe Goodison has been slightly more muted.

The London clubs I have been to- such as Arsenal and Spurs are like libraries until they score- its unbelievable! Old Trafford can be quiet as hell with all thos Prwn Sandwich munchers.

A last minute winner does wonders for morale for both players and fans. I expect a much better atmosphere in the next home game!

I caught the interview, he said it was the best reception he had ever recieved coming to Goodison, funny that, I dont think we cheer many players from other teams.............

Did he not mean coming to Goodison was the best reception he has ever received from any set of fans? I'm sure that's what he meant.

trust me silver dustbin(distin as we used to call him) will be a very good player for you as i said in another thread.

he will make mistakes but he has the pace to redem himself and you will realise what a good player he is and i would have had him back at city rather than pay £24m for a lad i cant remember his name ;0)

I doubt he will make mistakes anymore, he might have been prone to them in his younger days, but 31 year old players rarely make mistakes. Just my take on it anyway.

I think the Everton faithful give all new players a good reception and a chance and we are a good judge of player when we see one I see a goodun in Simon Webb....sorry I mean monsieur Distin and I am sure he will not prove me wrong
