Disney have ruined Star Wars. That's all there is to say. Some people may take great delight in grown men arguing over what may or may not be a kids franchise, but at least up until now that was at least debatable. The Last Jedi was made for kids, or for someone who has the mind of a child. The 'hold'scene was desperately embarrasing (as, I suppose is this post), and the Leia Poppins was laugh out loud shabite. Star Wars is dead.

Thats the problem isn't it. Ultimately its a kids film franchise yet from a Sci fan perspective the concept has a lot to offer.

It is. The Force Awakens had leeway, a bit for everyone, a jumping off point.. Nostalgia nod, a bit of humour and an interesting new character and angle. Rogue One was solid. The Last Jedi had those stoopid 'kin puffin-a-likes, no plot and a load of mechandisable toy animals. Ruined.

It's not the first in the franchise to go down this route though is it? I didn't think The Last Jedi was too bad and was a quite enjoyable "light" sci-fi film if a little silly in parts. Again, much like the original trilogy.

You'd have a point if the prequels didn't exist

Can't agree with that I'm afraid. People had an issue with the ewoks but at least they had a point and a role to play. What is the point of those 'nuns' in TLJ, Luke's defiant walrus tit sucking, the whole casino debacle, or the just-follow-them-until-they-run-out-of-petrol bullshine? Not to mention the 'sacrfice is pointless' speechafter the massive lets-crash-into-the-baddies-to-save-the-day plotline. Insulting.

Both are dog shabite.

To say its Disney are the ones that ruined it would just be wrong like. George Lucas ruined it decades ago.
Maybe. At least they kind of attempted to pull it back out the fire with TFA and Rogue One. There was A New Hope (rofl). Then they just plopped the bed. In case your're in any doubt, I fuggin hate TLJ
