Just seen that my well, well, well, thread has been closed. I have no problem with the fact it has been closed, but I'm really disappointed that one or two posters moved a simple debate about a poor woman who lost her job into something else.

I think it is unfortunate for people to either play a race argument, religion argument, or mentioning the EDL etc etc as a way of getting a thread closed...

I have argued many times on here to allow sensible political debate, with grown ups like Esk etc who hold views but can argue them without playing the race, religion, EDL, BNP, card......

TBF I thought NIK argued his points really well, of course he was unfairly attacked with the standard right wing, EDL, BNP, etc but he always tried to keep the debate going in spite of the many wums trying to set him off.

NIK I applaud you.....stick with it
 


Fair play Pete. It's too easy for people to blame the mods but its the content that gets it closed.

I love a good elequent debate by intelligent people. It's educational.
