hypothetically.

so this person sits near an off licence in their car. anyone could grass them up 'in theory' but how do you feel about grasses?

hypothetical of course.

if you had a friend or acquaintance that, when he or she finished work drove home and stopped off at an off licence on the way home, parked up bought a four pack of beer, quaffed the lot then finished the drive home.

what would you do?

Get out of the car and get the bus. Dont fancy being wrapped round a lamp post

That aint grassing in my eyes. Grassing is telling the cops who stole the microwave. Yeah ok possibly some people may see it as grassing but stopping someone from drink driving and potentially killing someone far outweighs this.

So unless this person has mafia relations the best thing to do is inform the police.

i had a non-hypothetical experience similar to this, i was at a friends house where 2 of my friends were drinking (and i was not), and since i had to go somewhere else early i made the friend that would eventually have to go home promise me that he wouldn't drive home for at least a few hours (even though his house was less than a mile away).

not only did my friend end up driving home, but the friend who's house it was drove home behind him to make sure that nothing bad happened :confused3: so basically it ended up there were 2 drunk drivers on the road rather than zero.

my point in sharing this is that people who have been drinking act like morons beyond all belief, even normally sensible ones. polite suggestions won't do it in these instances, if its someone you know, and you're present when this is happening, take their keys at any cost. if you're not present, offer to pick them up from wherever they are, and stay on the phone with them to make sure they don't try to drive.
