If you were coming to the end of your life through illness and wanted to end it would you use Dignitas to stop the pain and suffering you might be experiencing?

If a family member informed you that they were going down that route what would you think?

Honestly, I'd hope I'd fight for every breath. But then at the end, if the quality of life is dreadful and it's hurting those that are close to me, such that it'd be better off for everyone that I take the hammer to the skull (or whatever they do), then I'd probably go. I wouldn't judge anyone for going down that route.

As for Jeff and Frank, how much do we need to chip in?

Leaving out the Fronk & Goff bit,I watched my Ma suffer agony for 6 months and plead with the hospital to let her die,animals arent allowed to suffer so why should humans? If you have full capacity to understand what it entails then you should be allowed death with dignity

If I had to see one of my family members in pain and suffering to a point that they wanted to end their own life then I would respect their wishes and see what I could do. But with the shoe on the other foot, if I was the one that was suffering, I don't think I put my family in a position where they could assist with my death then have to live with it.

Hopefully someone sorts this out so it becomes legal in this country. Absolutely ridiculous that you have to go abroad, if the EU could bring in that rule they might bring a few people onside.

And if I had x amount of months to live and didn't have any quality of life I would be straight there to take my medicine.
