Enjoyably silly film in its own right, like. Its gruber on toast for me.

Die hard is most certainly a Christmas film and it’s a hill I’m willing to die on.

Nothing gets me in the festive spirit more than watching Hans Gruber fall backwards out of the window of the Nakatomi Plaza.

There's a Christmas tree, it ends with a Christmas song. It has jingle bells as part of the background soundtrack. There is a frosty relationship between the husband and wife and the kids end up getting caught in the crossfire.

Sounds like an average Christmas to me...

It’s as much of a Christmas film as say Home Alone. In the sense that you could take the Christmas out of the film. Have it set in any month of the year, and the overall plot would stay the same.
