Player Valuation: £150m
Dortmund 5 - 2 Bayern Munich. Lewandowski hattrick. If Poland have anything like a decent team he's going to do some damage in Euro 2012.

Bayern played with all the CL final team pretty much on the pitch and looked pretty toothless. I dont even think Dortmund had to get out of first gear. If BM turn up like that next week they'll be turned over by Chelsea.

Quality viewing though. Normally cup finals are a bit cagey but not this one. Was great to watch on a saturday night instead of the usual ****e on tele!

Best cup final I think I've ever seen.

To be fair though Dave I reckon Dortmund are twice the team Chelsea are. They play better stuff and have better players. Plus they've got something of a mental hold over Bayern as that's the fifth time they've beat them in two seasons, and they've pipped them to the title twice in a row now.

Dortmund were masterful yesterday. They didn't give Bayern any space and bar a five minute spell for Ribery, they kept their wide men out of the game completely. I forgot Robben was there. And some of the football they played was scintillaing. Fergie was there supposedly watching Kagawa and I can only think after seeing his performance he'll be a United player by next season now.

Another reason why German football's probably the best in Europe.

I think whether Bayern win the CL or not they're going to spend big over the summer. 2 years without a title now and a long way off Dortmund in the league and cup

Was this on live telly? I could only find the extended highlights shown in ESPN late in the night, and with being 2 hrs ahead of the UK here it was well into the early hours of the morning so I sacked it off.

Watching the re-run now, though. Dortmund have been on one hell of a run. Their gaffer must be one of the most sought after in Europe. If only we could snag him....

Great to see Mitch Langerak play in the match (although after an injury on 30 mins). He only conceded a goal from a Ribery special.

Jurgen Klopp is ace.

He's managed to achieve the impossible: making a team that plays some of the best football in the world, without superstars and instead a bunch of players who play for him and for the shirt. Dortmund have the work ethic and team spirit of a Moyes team, with the fast, fluid and incisive football of a Guardiola team.

They're honestly playing as good as anyone in the world right now, and I think next season they could do very well in Europe. Of course that may hinge on transfers -- Reus (class) is coming in but Kagawa may go. On the other hand they've achieved so much this year despite losing Sahin from last year and having their best player (Gotze) out injured for the vast majority.

Did you see them utterly destroy Kaiserslautern 2 or 3 weeks ago? Simply stunning, flowing attacking fussball from start to finish.

I'm alreadt relishing them publishing next season's Bundesliga fixture list as much as ours! Greuther Furth are up, and hopefully Dusseldorf can see the job through in the 2nd leg of the play-off on Tuesday. Two nice little trips await.

I thought Dortmund got a goal up and stood off Bayern and let them back in the match until goals 2 and 3 went in shortly before HT. And the GK substitution was one they got away with because they were so far ahead (the young Aussie keeper looked very nervy to me and on another day could have cost them). I thougt their captain Kehl was dominant in MF and completely bossed Schweinsteiger who looked well off the pace.

Bayern looked edgy and not looking like they wanted to be there to me. Minds on next Saturday probably, but they may find it tough against a side like Chelsea who seem like they have the knack this season to peak at the right moment.

I wish we played in Germany. Everybody has a chance there. Even their top dog doesn't really overspend due to the fact that they are obligated to make a profit every year. Also the sugar daddy team only spends at most 6-8M on players as well. The only thing that bugs me about German footie is the stadiums have fences and it looks like the crowd sits farther back from the pitch compared to English grounds.
