Didn't he win the player of the month last month? This thread hurts my brain. I say as long as we have Anachibie, Denis is good enough for the team.
 
i'de sell anichebe, probably 2million and use it buy strac.

anyway, we should sell rodwell for the reputed 15-20m and then we can keep strac, pienaar, drenthe and probably get another decent player or 2 in too - like cover for Baines
 
I just can't see moyes wanting to go with the same attacking options next season.

Jelavic - anichebe - straq - vellios

There all simlar. I think maybe 1 of anichebe or straq won't make next season. I also think well see 1 or 2 new different types come in... Especially if we make Europe.

Don't be supprised if one of them is Michael Owen!
 

I think Jelavic and Vellios are different to Strac. They're more silky moves than relentless pressure. They just happen to be tall, good headers, and slow. I wouldn't mind getting a speedy striker with silky moves like Beckford or McAleny in the summer that way we can switch it up a bit. Although Moyes tactics/Jag and Distin seem to play more for tall strikers than the small speedy ones. Then again Beckford and Saha did play for us ;P

I'm not even sure if Anichebe is a striker....

If Strac is 1.5 million get him or try to extend his loan. Otherwise save up for a play maker.

I would love to see Gueye get a bit of game time as a striker as well.

One problem with strikers at this club is we only play one, and there are 5 quality strikers available, but most the time they are sitting on the bench, and not getting match-fit, and getting into the sing of things.
 
We don't have 5 quality strikers available...

We have 1 quality striker
2 promising young strikers
1 always injured poor striker
And 1 straq !!
 

I guess everyone can define 'quality' differently, but I consider any striker that is talented as 'quality'.

Sure some are young, but they are talented, and have the ability to score goals.
 
I think we need to bring in another quality striker, i honestly don't think the backup to jelavic is good enough. I know they are young but i have my doubts.
 
He has great work rate, but isnt premier league standards when it comes to finishing,
I think we should get in pienaar first and then if there is any money left over see what happens, another 1 year loan deal for straq would be the best solution
