Always liked Denis.
Probly the (non-Everton) player I most regret not seeing play.
I always strangely thought that he was a talented Mark HughesHe was brilliant Dixie. Deadly goal scorer and tough with it, nobody took liberties with him.
Wish he'd been a Blue !!

With you there Ian Dury's backer, you are bright and subtleHughes was a muscular striker, Law was much sleeker.
Both effective, but I'd take Denis Law over Hughes every day of the week and twice on a Sunday, he was superb.
I always thought we had put the final nail in Manure's coffin in that game ....Dennis made sure Ha Ha What a player !!Not seen that in years and never seen his interview comments. At the time I thought he had been half hearted in hitting the ball but looking at it again I have changed my mind. He meant it but was clearly incapable of celebrating given the circumstances.
PS it was quite good that the Utd game before that was a defeat at Goodison iirc.
