Well he's hardly what you would call a 'superstar' signing.

Still..............The kopites will have their say.

How to spot a kopite..............They constantly **** off the manager and the team, whilst saying **** all, or "sitting on the fence" when it comes to the board.

I saw this comment an hour ago. And knew the D/D Ban hammer would come down.

Knew it. It was inevitable as a conversation about Pasties and other delicacies from Chicoazul.

I'm glad to see normal order has been restored. Carry on.

Im not making a mountain out of a mole hill...

Im more trying to bring up the fact that I dont believe ANYONE had a clue about what was happening on deadline day...players going, coming in etc. And as one hand has to shake the other ie players out before players in...the fact we almost could've been faced with no striker coming in with players going out is shocking to me.

Im not talking about us fans knowing or not knowing who was coming or going in the window, im talking about Moyesy, some people are making the assumption that he probs doesnt or didnt know much about the new boys but i dont for one second believe he hadnt heard or seen anything of Drenthe and Stracqualursi.

But ill be honest, i knew someone would leave, i just thought it would of been one of either Jags or Rodders, not Arteta.

No matter the calibre of signing or fee involved. It's always going to be a gamble for any club to sign a player, just look at Torres. Nothing story designed to scaremonger.

Of course he knows about the players, its just that I don't think the club knew who were going or coming.

What?. Dependant on what Moyes could offer, loan fees and wages wise, he'll of had catagories of targets dependant on that!. At the end of the day, nobody at the club knows who's going unless a concrete bid comes in and a decision as to be made on it. I'm pretty sure the manager and chairman discussed who they was willing to sell and for what price.

We didnt want to sell Arteta and rejected there 1st bid, albeit being £5m but another bid came in and he asked to go so we was willing to deal. We had deals lined up and was only allowed to push em through when Arteta left as we could give both players a share of Arteta's, Beckford's and Yak's wages.

As for going, i dont think they expected Arteta to go but was willing to let certain players go for the right fee. Coming in there'll of been different catagories of targets dependant on what they could afford after sales and the 2 new boys was on the cheapest deals catagory so they will of been known about.

No offence mate but where does it say that Everton or Moyes has to tell the fans everything that is going on while he is looking for players?

Obviously we had no cash and alot of decisions may have been balanced on that but whatever the reason Moyes doesn't have to tell us zip about player incomings or negotiations. We are not Spurs and he is not Arry 'I talk about everyone' Redknapp.

Moyes over the years to me does drag his heels quite a bit when trying to sign someone but i think maybe there is alot more going on that we are not made aware. Now i am not defending him or the club with regards to dealings but i could imagine even him in his office banging his head every time the board tell him its not possible.

It pisses me off that we have becomes such a cynical distrusting bunch about every little thing when it comes to the club. Especially when Moyes took the helm he was exactly the same with his potential signings

You missed the bit before that about his value being higher at the time of us scouting him so maybe we wasnt sure about him at the price he was valued at. I think he'll be a good gamble and his style of play, size and physicality will help him.

And Moyesy said we wanted Drenthe last year but we couldnt afford to sign him out right or summat so he as been on the radar and he as seen him play but people in the game tell him he's good, and if you've seen him play you will know he is too!.

People should stop being so sceptical and stop making mountains out of mole hills, of course Stracqualursi is a risk and Moyes doesnt want to say too much about him and raise expectations on him and amongst fans cos he does need time to settle and get into the groove and everyone should know that Drenthe was a serious talent years ago and is still young enough to improve and people should stop thinking that these 2 was not known of or watched cos they will of been and Moyesy clearly thinks they can do a job or else he wouldnt of signed em!

So lets stop jumping to conclusions and get behind them both and the team, starting tomorrow! COYB!.

Well said sir!!!
