As someone who has lost his idol to (My Nan) and currently has his Dad in care with dementia I just wanted to share this video of Tony Parkes. Not gonna lie, I bawled my eyes out.

Just horrible. We have a friend who was diagnosed with early onset Alzheimer’s.
She’s only 58 and her mind is already going so quickly

Its an awful awful disease. Really difficult for family and carers to deal with the fallout.

Its the worst. My mum died at 96 last year, but we lost her 2 years previously to dementia. I guess at that age she got off lightly. Also lost a colleague, great friend and quiz team member who got it in his late 60s. He was as sharp as a tack when younger amd a really hillarious wind up merchant but just got quieter and quieter. It really is just fading away.

Horrible horrible condition! It did for my mother in law five years ago, so sad for the close family when their Mum doesn’t even know who they are!

Couple of friends have watched grandparents go down with it. As a few have already said, it's terrible. Causes so much distress for all involved.
