It's the manner of how we're performing which is the reason I feel it's deluded to be honest. I think 8th is actually the best we can do and agree fully with Heitinga the other day.

However, how he can say we're doing pretty well after performances like QPR and Stoke is astonishing. The only reason we aren't lower in the league is because there's a massive gulf in class between the top six or seven and the rest, with very few upsets occurring.

It's indicative of a worrying mindset in the squad right now. They believing they're useless even though they're some of the highest paid individuals in the country and should believe they have the quality to compete properly.
 
Playing pretty well does not include losing home games against QPR and Stoke.

Let's not beat about the bush here, we're playing utterly gash. There's a malaise from top to bottom at the club right now and scraping a few lucky wins does not disguise that.

If we win our game in hand, yes, we'd go 8th. If we lose at Arsenal on Saturday however, there are 6 teams that could go above us with a win.
 

The thing is, we've been not far short of utterly ****e. If we'd actually played half decent, where could we be in the league?

So play better Cahill, then you can say we're doing well. Until then, shut up please?
 
Well. the Ross emails revealed what Cahill is about: a bought and paid for propagandist for the club's owners.

He has fcuk all to say as far as I'm concerned.
