Del Piero killing it down under. Don't know if that is much of an achievement. I live in Australia and I barely follow the A-League.

Still, went to see the great man at least, didn't see this game but he's doing well.

Del Piero vs Wellington

Some cracking goals in there, he pulled Wellington's pants down big time. Some of the finishes would beat world class keepers in all honesty; he juts wouldn't get that much time and space.

Yeh I struggle watching A-League, the quality is so much worse, defense especially...so much time for you to stop and have a chat before you shoot.

In saying that the actual finishing like you said was world class

He's still got it, the pace of the league suits him a lot.

Anyone with a stepover and a yard of pace in the A League dominates. It's too slow and organised for my liking. Skill levels pretty low. Nice to see a kiwi like Rojas going well though.

He's definitely the stand out player in the league, but that's not really much of a compliment. It is really difficult to watch the Premier league on a Saturday night then try to watch the A league on Sunday...
It is great to see the crowds are coming out to watch him though which was the main reason they signed him. Now, if only Beckham would hurry up and sign that contract the Perth Glory offered him.......

It is improving though, and that's the goal. I think playing on rugby fields doesn't always help the pace of the game either, but they're trying to get more and more purpose built grounds. Entertaining watching the Aussies going for it in the crowd though, the Newcastle fans are particularly wanky.

Yeah if I didnt follow the Premier League so closely it wouldnt bother me as much, but watching it and then A-League is so frustrating to follow.

Don't think Beckham will sign personally...and don't think you will get Owen instead either.

What happened to that South American feller at Sydney FC? He was actually pretty good for a couple of seasons but started putting the beef on.

We've got no chance of Beckham, and if we sign Owen, I will buy a season ticket just so I can rip it up

The man plays second fiddle to Duncan Ferguson in my all time sporting heroes list.

That Juventus side of the mid-to-late 90's were an absolute joy to watch.

One of my favourite all time players, I love Del Piero and Juve. They had some superb players, Nedved, Trezeguet, Zidane, Davids, Inzaghi, pure class.

this is the league where Franny Jeffers failed.

Del Piero is quality though...used to love the Italian footy on CH4 every sunday

ADP is a legend. The Juventus team in the 90s were the best, loved it growing up...was a shame they got done for cheating etc, kinda tainted their illustrious past.
