Deflected goals

Is there another team who has as many deflected goals scored against them as us? I remember last season it seemed just about every goal we conceded for a couple of months came from a deflection. And usually 2 minutes later we have a deflected shot which goes just wide.
And again today, a deflected goal.

Unlucky that we let that one in today, but what can you expect, we never try and close the opposite team down quick enough.
Even from only seeing the first half, it was the same old Everton letting them come at us and no closing down, are the players told never to go in for a tackle. I said this last week as well, looks like nothing has changed.

Neville in midfield not strong enough to hold off the challenge n lost the ball that led to the goal. Will happen time and time again until he is replaced with a proper footballer. We can dream.

Its our play, we try and block and stop shots, so we are gonna suffer from them, that goal yesterday was a fluke, the shot was poor. and just got lucky hitting Baines and going in. they

They got extremely lucky yesterday. Apart from that deflected goal, QPR never looked like scoring, albeit thanks to Howard and Jagielka.

It's true like. We let Hoilett run 3/4's of the pitch. Some of the defending was abysmal yesterday, and I only saw the second half.

Cannot do anything about deflected goals.

What we can do is stop players from charging at the defence and getting shots on goal.

For that you need good midfielders.

We had Neville and Osman patrolling the park.

Enough said.

QPR's wasn't because it was still heading towards the goal, on target, took a deflection and carried on heading towards the direction of the goal. Distin's header hit the post and was travelling away from the goal when it hit the keeper.

we have a massive problem in the holding area, Neville cant do it with Osman, If Gibson isnt fit for the Derby, Gerrard will get a hattrick again.
