Wasn't keen on them..

Although I was thinking this same thing the other day, some of my favourite albums are around 25 years old now. I remember them coming out too..

GnR Appetite for Destruction, Nirvana Nevermind etc.. I had the same feeling of, Oh my god Im so old..

First 2 albums were tremendous, loved them blowing Blur out of the water back then. Pity they believed their own hype too much and never reproduced anything like them again apart from the odd songs.

that period around 94/95 noels songwriting was fantastic(even if alot were rip offs lol) definitely maybe but also the b-sides where incredible, the drop off in quality after that and morning glory was huge unfortunately...

Blur have the better overall selection of singles, but I've never rated their albums. Definitely Maybe encapsulated that era, and is still quite listenable. The rest of their output (Masterplan aside) is utter dreck. I cannot even contemplate listening to Morning Glory again, a truly hideous piece of music.

Its funny this thread should pop up, as I was thinking this morning about bands I once loved who I now cannot stand, and Oasis firmly top that list.
