I think England have been blessed over the years with very good Center backs. Butcher Adams keown southgate Campbell Ferdinand Terry...all players in there prime who were very very good and big players for there clubs too.

Compared to that lot it makes jags and Cahill look a weak pairing. In truth there not, there very good CB but not quiet the level of those mentioned above in there primes. But IMO equal to most other teams CB pairings.

ratings are overated, people don't know the meaning of it. It's like everyone says Belgium are the dark horse if everyone says it then there not the dark horse there a favourite. same when people all agree that a player is underrated if everyone rates him then he isn't underrated. The majority of people would have to think he ain't that good and disagree with you e.g. Gareth Barry when he first signed for us. To genuinely be underrated. who doesn't rate jagielka or cahill?

To be fair. The standard of centre backs worldwide isn't the best. Tiago silva and kompany are probably the best then after that not much.
In the past it has been the likes of cannavaro, Ferdinand, nesta, puyol, desailly, Walter Samuel etc.
