When you bring all woman's staff here then you can expect to have the same faults!

Stubbs, Weir and Andy Holden all defensive minded coaches and all left during last 2 seasons.

I totally agree we need a defensive coach to come in and help sort the backline out

I don't think it's big Den. His official title is First Team Development Coach.

And no offence to the guy as I loved him playing for Wrexham, but he wasn't that good a defender so he shouldn't be coaching defenders in the PL.

Martinez will question you: do we need one? As long as we score more than opposition, that will do. The best form of defence is attack.

Unfortunately, life is cruel. We are Wigaverton.

Good one mate.

....George Graham worked tirelessly with the famous Arsenal back four to make them a formidable unit and look what Pulis does. There is no excuse for me, a solid defence does not have to be for the detriment of attack, it's basic. Graham literally took a rope onto the training pitch, attached it across his back four so they moved in unison and became automatically cohesive.

Our lot look work in isolation. Get an expert in with a proven track record.

I was wondering the same thing this morning (last night).

Most Rugby union clubs now have a head coach, and then a coach for the defense and attack (or forwards and backs).

I'm not sure if football clubs do the same? If not, we should start the trend.

At the moment we seem to be somewhere in here about the state of defense:
