He is far far away from being a player who should be in the England senior squad. The potential is there but he is not reaching it yet. Not even close.

Lots of hype around him at the moment with talk of a big move in the summer.
Don't understand that as he hasn't done it for long enough.

Yes people will say if he moves and trains/plays with better players then he would more likely fulfill potential etc but that has to be balanced out with playing time.
Is he ready to step into the starting line up of any of the top six? Would possibly get some game time deputising for Fernandino (cup games & matches v teams lower down in PL) who at his age may be managed more carefully next season (their most important player currently IMO).

City could sign anybody they want to back up Fernandinho. Not sure why Rice would be the one aside from the homegrown rules. I don't think it benefits Rice either. It didn't benefit Fabian Delph.

That's the main reason but I totally agree that it wouldn't benefit him to move now.
