The final month of 2018, a year most Evertonians will probably be glad to see the back of was, the Boxing Day win at Burnley apart, not far short of a disaster. Just five points gained from a possible 21 is a tally nobody was expecting after the signs of improvement seen in October and November.

Either that - Gomes has had persistent injury problems throughout his career - or he's just absolutely done in.

Thanks as always @AndyC for running the polls and tallying it all - appreciate it.
But how can he be done in when he sat out the start of the season?

If he is injured then this could well be a blessing before we buy him as we have had too many high earning sick notes.

I figured just fatigue, not used to playing so many games so quickly at that intensity.

Since that loss in the 'derby' that he bossed, he's gone from the being the player whose demeanour screamed, 'gimme the ball, I'll show you what I can do...'
almost to that of a player asking 'is this how you get away with it Morgan?'

The sheer nature of that goal has - in my opinion - had such a demoralising effect on the side in general and perhaps Andre more.
He's classy, but needs similar quality around him and we don't have it.
