Osman is to inconsistent to be in the squad. He will be great a few times a season and be invisable the rest of it. We need a player who can give a consistent performance on the bench if we want to sustain a challange to the top 4.

And Cahill has been awful this season. He just doesnt suit our style of player and slows down our attack. It would be better to sell him now while he is around 30 to a team like Stoke or Bolton and get in a creative player for the hole or even put Arteta there and get a new CM.

I know what you're saying and partly agree but it just won't happen. Moyes loves them and to dismiss them is a tad harsh after they've helped loads during moyes' reign.

One of Moyes's weaknesses as a manager is he wont get rid of loyal players. It has to happen some time. Howard Kendell Evertons last great manager did it. He had the balls to get rid of people who werent good enough and replace them with better. Look at Gary Liniker for Andy Grey. Amazing move. Moyes needs to learn how to be more cut throat in his desicion making.

Still won't happen though

I've always had a problem with height at centre half...although Heit and Jags would be a class pairing, I think Yobo or Senderos even Distin would add some power and height to the back 4.

But Heit wouldnt be wasted at right back, he is a right back for the most part. Would also get a chance to ping some balls in, be good defensively as well as composed going forward.

I know Heitinga has played at rightback for most of his career, but I just don't see him as a fullback. I don't think he's got the legs to go galloping beyond the midfielder to get a cross in. Ideally you want your fullbacks to be another offensive weapon eg. Cole, G. Neville, Johnson, Evra, Riise, Gary Stevens, Roberto Carlos. I may be wrong, given that Heit has such a great goalscoring record everywhere else that he's played, but I haven't witnessed his prowess going forward so far.

The lack of inches may well be another reason why Moyes has so far opted against a Jagielka- Heitinga partnership. If we can play higher up the park, win the second ball and make use of the pace on the cover of the two players, I think we can negotiate that issue. I don't think that Distin has exactly been dominant in the air so far.

Now I understand I haven't got the benefit of seeing the games as much as you lot, but Cahill is deffo not on the 'do not sell at any cost' list. And Anichebe and Vaughn can both leave. Those are my only real opinions.
