Player Valuation: Free Transfer
Good Morning and thanks for allowing me registration.

Strong rumours down here and on the betting exchanges that he's in line to be our (Oxford's) next manager.

Would fit our approach as we are a club renowned for bringing on young players and having success that way. We've taken Jonjoe from you along with Ryan Ledson & Conor McAleny so he would be know to our club and our chairman. Dave Jones who works for Sky is also on our board so maybe a link that way?

I'd be gutted to lose him, the one person in the club at the moment that I trust to get things right.

However if he has any ambitions to make it as a manager he will have to move on.

Maybe it’s true, as I read on twitter that ledson had put a transfer request in. There were a few rumours going around about him and unsworth not getting on.

What's the story with Unsworth and Ledson? Must admit few Oxford fans were surprised we got him on permanent deal when we did so that maybe partly a reason.

If you believe what you read, he has had his turned by by Preston's approach and in all honesty, hasn't been the same player since Appleton left to go to Leicester.

Be a shame to lose the lad as he's a cracking little player, who'll only improve as he gets more game time and experience. Loves a tackle as well! Supporters favourite so will be a few tears when or if he does go.

I've not heard of any issues - the only quote I can find is from Ledson on Unsworth
“He’s a great coach. We look forward to coming into training. He’s always dead bubbly and lively and he has us playing really well."

I watched Ledson a few times when he spent the season at Cambridge. He was bossing games at League 2 level at 18 but I did think he perhaps didn't have the skill to be a PL starter. There was no comparison to a Barkley (or even a Rodwell) at 18 in terms of quality. Great attitude though which will carry him far and maximise his talents.

You won't find a more dedicated professional than Unsy - was the same as a player.
Agree that he needs to move on if he wants to manage as the U23's are nowhere near the level he is capable of.
Good luck to him and you if he goes
