Will go into ten years at Goodison without a trophy, i will not contest his merits of which he has many.

Ten years though.

A long time for us not to win anything. An tbh we are starting to head back towards were we were 10 years ago.

I wouldn't say so. Out of our last 6 games, we've lost 5 against teams expected to be competing for European places. I'd say that's hardly a sign of us going back to the Walter Smith era.

Personally I dont think he's bold enough to win a trophy. You need to be a gambler in the cup and he's so conservative. I would say though he's had to contend with a gulf in finances no other Everton mnanager has ever faced.

Still, we finished 4th once and 5th twice. Punches the air.

True, but in previous seasons, we would get our fair share of results against those teams and be expected to be in contention for Europe ourselves.

But Moyes is not the problem here.

this yr so far is his worst...his demeanour, his press conferences are almost forewarnings of a defeat and they way he sends us out to play all look like a man going thru the motions

and ok i get we hav no money but does he have to remind us all everytime we talk football

Don't get me wrong, I'm to particularly arsed about tonight's result, plus we have a disgrace of teams to play since beginning of October. Its just dawned on me a couple of things about his tenure.

He has steadied a sinking ship into a modest club, I doubt without a lot of investment well ever see a trophy, or even Europe. David moyes will keep us in the premier league though, which I think is the best we can hope for in the current climate, or at least until THAT changes.

Its not that fact that we lost to teams we should, its the way we've been beaten. In the last few years we ran them all close in games, this years they all steamed rolled us. Man City beat us easy, We were awful agianst Chelsea. Soon as Rodwell got sent off against Liverpool it became when will they score. rether then can we hold on for draw or nick it. Also we havnt lost back to back prem games for 2 years and now we lost 5. We flucked a win against Blackburn and Fulham. Got beat by QPR at home. Trust

4 defeats in 5 maybe 5 defeats in 6 on Saturday (Man Utd) - not sure how many other top managers in the top leagues would get away with that.

Although they were against top sides, but you could also argue Fulham should have beaten us.

I'm not anti Moyes but it is interesting.

Whatever happens in my eyes we cant loose Moyes, he has done what he has with us without a penny to spnd while the rest of the prem are waxing millions on whoever they want and im not just talking about the big 4 or 5. look at the money sunderland, stoke, liverpool have spent. none of them have trophys to show for it in the last few years. Get real boys we are having a poor start and the club feels like we are in decline at the min but he has got us playing better football and we have finished higher than we have for years. The thing we need if we want to compete is money and give it to moyes to spend!

I dont know. I love the guy to bits, but at the same time, you can't help but wonder if another manager would get more out of the group of players we've got.....

But then that's properly dangerous territory. Grass is always greener and whatnot.

To be fair we have been mostly gash this Season, but then again, we always are pre-Christmas, terrible run of games recently and to be fair we picked up the 3 points in the "easiest" of them, tough place to go Fulham, lucky it was, but a wins a win.

Judge him in another Month, its unfair to judge him on recent games, we are playing teams who have possibly spent a combined total of around 2 Billion the last 4 windows, where we have spent a combined total of 50p and a Mars Bar.

I hate to sound like Moyes, but he does have a MASSIVE point.

As I say judge him in a month.

A point that he seems more and more dependant on as an excuse.

We've been outspent by teams for many years now yet we always steeped up and gavew them teams a game.

Once the whistle goes its 11 vs 11 and doesn't matter how much each team cost its 1 team vs another.

How did we go from beating United and Chelase and City to rolling over without a fioght?

Yeah sure Kenwrong deserves some of the blame for not letting us add to our squad but where's the spirit and fight which helped us beat teams who outspent us previously?

Like taking a keyboard to a gunfight? Yeah only if you let it.
