I agree ro an extent, I just think his best years are long gone. No great shame in that though, and the same can be said for many great artists.
 

I just think to have had the longevity of success he had and the differing styles and personas he undertook were not fully appreciated at the time.... And are still not fully appreciated by the masses now... But that's just my opinion.

What can you say mate? I once, not so long ago, put Dark Side Of The Moon on, and my nephew told me it was crap. He then asked me if I had anything by PMSL, cos they're apparently ace. Hahaha.

I have to hold my hands up here .... I'm not the biggest Floyd fan at all..... In my defence I'm probably ignorant to how good they may be as I've not really listened to them much.

Fair enough, I'm sure there's good bands/albums that I'm not into. I still respect them more than most of the crap that gets released in this day and age though.

Oh definitely ... At this moment I'm watching the Beatles night thing on itv.... Love it, I recently went to watch a John Lennon tribute act and it was fantastic. On a side note, I can't wait to see The Jersey Boys film at the cinema ha ha.... Some friends of mine watched it on Broadway 2 years ago... Sadly I'll be settling for the film not the musical.
 

Bowie admitted he writes his songs by coming up with a line and the posting it on the fridge. Then when he's got enough post it notes he takes them all down and puts then together even though they make no sense. Musical genius my arse! Still love him though.

I tried that idea once, look up 'Two pounds of spuds and a couple of pork steaks' on You Tube. I'll never understand how it was never a hit.
