Let's take time out to appreciate a true national treasure, someone who has provided us with not only entertainment but also fascinating information.

He's been at it longer than I've been alive, so here's to David Attenborough.

Thought he died when I saw this thread! Phew.

The guys is a legend.

I feel he should record himself saying every single word in a variety of styles so that even when he eventually goes we can have every nature programme narrated by him.

One of those guys who has been on the TV certainly throughout my lifetime and the world would genuinely be a less interesting place without him.

There has been many great moments throughout his many appearances on tv over the years but the standout for me was him with the Gorillas, many have copied since but he was the first and the best.

It's not like his nature documentaries as such, more of a theme of exploration rather than the natural world. I've not seen anything else like it but I'm sure there is, as you say so much to watch so little time.
