This is NOT about her.

But, Whelan reckons they should have had a silence before the derby last night, and black armbands. The PL has said clubs can make their own minds up what to do.

Lets face it, a silence last night would, 99% certain, not have been observed, and I would be amazed if any club decided it would be something they would do.

I reckon "silences" should be canned at footie for ANY politician, then that would be that.

(Unless a club wanted one, say at Blackburn if Jack Straw carked it)

*gulps, and waits for the lock*

I think the PL made one of the most sensible ideas any football related body has made in recent history by not asking clubs to have a minutes silence. There is no way that it'd have been respected and would have just given the Daily Mail something to berate football fans about in faux outrage.

end of the day if she was that bad our saviours Labour would of reversed her policies oh wait...

all as bad as each other still cant take nothing away from her will be remembered alot more than those we have had before and after.

There could be one before our Arsenal game because it's the day before the funeral.

Well at least I hope there is.

Maybe, maybe not. That is the point of the thread. Any politician will attract different views, so to then effectively force people at a match who might not share the views of the recently deceased will only lead to one thing.

So, to avoid that. can them for political figures.

i would be respectful and be silent for a minute. but i doubt many others would. (i would only do it because it was at Everton)

So would I, because I, personally, couldnt really care less. But like you say, in some parts of the country, she was not exactly liked/respected/admired.

Also, she was no friend of footie really.
