The World Championships start tonight on Sky, anyone going to be watching over Christmas?

It's not a bad watch when no footy is on.

Michael Van Gerwen bookies favourite but has fallen short last couple of years. Anyone but Phil Taylor, can't stand the guy.

Oh yes. Never miss it. Might have a punt on Anderson again.

I had the distinct honour of seeing the great Andy Fordham take part in the World Darts Championship some years ago.

Fordham's darting prowess is even more impressive in the flesh than it s on telly and he is a lovely bloke to boot. He bought my mates and I several rounds of drinks and refused to take a penny off us.

My favourite UK athlete of the last 20 years.

Remember watching it years ago on itv one Saturday afternoon,it was live from Alexandra palace and ended up in a brawl to shame football hooligans of the day tables bottles and chairs flying everywhere

Little bit of darts trivia. A player gets 15 grand for a 9 darter in the world championship.

John Lowe achieved the first televised 9 darter in the world match play. He received £102,000.....that was 1984.

Not bad at all for 1984.
