3 times over the limit on his way to training.

2nd offence, to our knowledge, (heaven only knows what he got up to at United), and effectively let off.

Only a matter of time till he kills someone.

If he does the judge in the most recent case will be culpable for not giving him time.

They say that when you leave Everton, things often do not go well for you. I would like to see the club bring back Gibbo; bring him back to the nurturing bosom of our ‘family club’. Yes, he would have to take reduced wages(say only 50 thousand a week?) but a long contract to see him through to 65 might just convince our prodigal son home

NSNO

I would not be against the club taking steps to help him at all, we are brilliant club when it comes to looking after people in need. However, that doesn't mean we're a charity that should just give out contracts to people who are in no position to offer us anything in return other than unreliable promises. It was pathetic the way we gave Baxter a place in the U23 squad after telling a load of other kids who'd dedicated themselves and behaved brilliantly to find other clubs because they weren't good enough.

If someone made a phone call offering Gibson some help with his rehab or an offer to come be part of EiTC to help educate youngsters I think he should accept it, it would go a long way to proving he really is remorseful and wants to get better.

Mad isn’t it. Sad too. Mans got issues and has managed to avoid fixing them. Drink is a horrible addiction, hope he manages to live his life better and fix his issues. Seen drink destroy people and he needs to realise he’s lucky as you said nobody is dead or hurt. Makes me angry.

The articile says he is currently under treatment, I hope it will work but very much fear it won’t and some innocent will suffer for it.

Would have preferred an mandatory confinement to a rehab facility myself to ensure the treatment isn’t just something he agreed to in order to avoid jail.

Err there's a couple of clues in his post that might hint at it not being without tongue in cheek lollol
