Just curious as to peoples opinions here.

If Darren Bent left Villa in January how much do you think he would go for?

I reckon there's some truth in the rumours that he's about to activate an appearance based fee to Sunderland similar to the Michael Ball situation.

Worth £10m.
 
He's worth about about £50 and a copy of nuts magazine, maybe a scratch card too
 
what he's worth depends on your clubs position at that time. He's always, always scored goals and that's worth a lot to certain clubs who struggle with that.

If we were a lower half side looking to stay clear of a relegation scrap and we had 8-10m I wouldn't be averse to spending it on him.

120k a week is big dosh though.

i'd take him for 6-7 mill. he does blow a bit hot and cold though, reckon he'd do well for us one season then like yakubu vanish. think villa will price him higher as they spent 24 on him and he hasn't done an awful job there.

Jesus, Villa really are a bunch of mugs if they are paying him that. Decent player but not worth that kind of money, if we got him on a reasonable wage and low fee then I wouldn't say no, but Villa wont let him go cheap and will want to recoup as much as they can so I can't see it being a goer.
 
He's on £69'500 per week plus a 5% goal bonus.

All the stats for players salaries (usually reliable) are on *removed

He'd do brilliantly here, I reckon. He's been carrying Villa at times. Quality player who can play the lone role.
